Readers of Savannah Magazine have named Savannah’s
Ardsley Park neighborhood “Savannah’s Best Neighborhood” for three
consecutive years.
So what makes it great?
Ardsley Park was developed starting in 1910 and is
located between Victory Drive and DeRenne Avenue. It was designed in a
grid layout and has many lovely landscaped squares.
Ardsley Park is just five minutes south of the historic
district and 15 minutes from Tybee Beach. Southside mall shopping
(Oglethorpe Mall) and two major hospitals (Memorial Health University
and St. Joseph's/Candler) are just 10 minutes away. Daffin Park is
another great neighborhood feature with plenty of space for soccer,
running, football and picnics.
Homes at Ardsley Park vary widely in size and price.
Architectural styles include many interpretations of the revival and
eclectic styles popular in the early 20th century. Most homes here are
one or two stories and many have freestanding rear garages. Classic
quaint bungalows and four to five-bedroom mansions line the quiet,
tree-canopied streets.
Prices at Ardsley Park range from $220,000 to $500,000.
Ardsley Park is a well-kept, beautiful, central place to live and homes
sell rather quickly. |
